Development of new generation cathodes by means of printing deposition techniques
Description
The CATIM project addresses the synthesis of new structured materials for use in future generation cathodes in lithium batteries. The development of the electrodes and with them the cathode marks the potential of the future cell, the performance of which depends primarily on the electrochemically active materials. The new generation of high-energy lithium-ion batteries requires innovative cathode materials with greater capacity and/or working potential.
It is intended to address three challenges:
Development of a lithium-solid cell proof of concept

Development of cathode materials with selected properties for solid lithium cells; inks or pastes of these cathode materials suitable for electrode deposition by inkjet and screen printing; components deposited by printing and electrochemical results of a prototype solid lithium cell with the developed and assembled electrodes. Specifically, and in line with the stated milestones, the projected results are as follows:
